Piano Lessons

February 3rd, 2012

My reach far exceeded any grasp
I might’ve tried for
For I am undoubtedly right handed
And only right handed
My left is suited for the romantics, the Impressionists
Not (as) picky in their time signatures
My reach is large though, in the left.
Flexible.
I can easily hit Octaves
The booming chords bringing up the
Heavy rear that moans under the
Wails
Titters and virtuoso ramblings of a right hand

I like being right handy
Not suited to classics
My left makes up in
Volume what it lacks in dexterity
I don’t care if I’m writing this poem correctly
This isn’t a poem
It’s a song.

Typed mostly with the right, crushing words making up the left.
Equals
I treat them differently.
