Gone sweet

We are relief in each other’s mouths

Drinking in shared air space

I held back my own

Maybe a little while later you heard something small

Made me crawl

Back into where I came from

The breadth

The bravado

Of personality

It’ll all get taken down in the gentlest way

We’ll make small noises together

And figure out what we’ll not have to say

Nothing beyond us now in the moment
